Handmade butter knifes with an engraved meaningful Rune symbol. Made from Swedish Birch wood. These are awesome at the breakfast table or the smörgåsbord. Great tools to spread butter or other soft spreads with and pretty fantastic that they won't scratch your cheese trays or other delicate serving platters. 

Smörkniv is the swedish word for Butter knife.  

Hand crafted using pure Swedish Birch wood that was repurposed from scrap pieces and now transformed into practical kitchen utensils instead of ending up on landfills. The handle is gently hand dyed with steeped earl grey tea leaves.

Each butter knife is adorned with an engraved rune symbol. Runes are the letters in the  ancient Germanic alphabet dating back to the 2nd century AD.

Each letter has a name that represents the sound of the rune and these names hold a symbolic meaning.
